One Little Word 2012 - January

I'm joining Ali Edwards' online class "One Little Word" this year. My chosen word is "change" and that's supposed to follow me throughout the year - day by day, month by month.

This is how I chose the front of my Album to look like:

The album from "Ordning & Reda" is in 8,5x11 (A4). I've used the digi-file from the class for the title and then cut it out with spellbinder's star die - distressed the edges with Walnut stain, added some Baker's twine and a butterfly from MS punched in OA patterned paper.

This is the first page - the class prompt for January. I've used a 9-pocket page protector (the same you use for hockey cards or other collector cards). My color scheme is orange, brown and light green.

The little page on the front is displaying my chosen word "CHANGE" in chipboard alphas from Basic Grey. I've used a cellophane envelope that I cut to correct size and then sealed with washitape. I had to be creative in this solution since the C-Line page protectors aren't to be found in Sweden, and out of stock in the US...

The back side of the little page is displaying my self-portrait for 2012. Taken on a sunny day in Malmö! Digi overlay from class.

Here's the whole page for January:

Quotation:
"Life is about becoming more aware of who we are and how we fit into the world - not how the world has told us who we needed to be. Ultimately everything changes - and if you stop changing - you stop growing.
-Robin Bowen-

Thesaurus:
"ALTER, TRANSFORM, VARY, MODIFY, REPLACE

I chose this word because:
Thomas and I are expecting a baby in mid April. In other words - out life is going to change big time! My body, our economy, our priorities  and our free time will Change.

Definition:
a variation, a different or fresh set, to become altered or modified, to pass gradually into, to substitute for something else

Invitation:
I'd like to invite HAPPY TIMES! I also want to embrace patience, curiosity, thankfulness and wider knowledge. I invite Life!

I'm really looking forward to this project and of course I look forward to what 2012 will bring. Hope you'll follow along for the journey!
